Hey guys, so yesterday I opened up to you all and shared some things that are going on in my life. I had a phone assessment yesterday from the Steps2Wellbeing NHS company that I mentioned to you all and I thought I would share some results with you all.
I have been told that I am showing signs of strong anxiety and some strong depression. Due to this I have enrolled onto an online course of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). This entails me having a mentor-like person who monitors my online progress and I also get to write a diary too. I look forward to this method of treatment since as I’m a writer it means I can really express how I feel and enjoy doing it just like here on the blog.
I don’t feel sad that I have been told this or worried, as I know that underneath it all I am still the happy person I was before, just right now, I need to focus on getting better. I feel that the treatment will work and that I will be much more like myself again. I look forward to beginning it, especially writing the journal. I have always said here on the blog that positivity is the key to not only success, but to getting better results in all situations. So, that will be my outlook on this, positivity.
There are so many great things for me to look forward this year like travelling to Uganda and getting my poetry published and turning 19 with the people that mean the most to me. I can’t wait for all those things and I vow to be much happier by the time I get to do them!
